Tel Aviv Ben Gurion Airport Guide to Tel Aviv International Airport or Ben Gurion Airport (TLV)

Tel Aviv Airport Terminal 1

Terminal 1 used to be the main building at Tel Aviv Airport. Nowadays it handles all domestic outbound flights, including some international operations.

Until summer 2017, Terminal 1 was used for processing international passengers (check-in, security screening and passport control of some low-cost carriers). These services were moved to Terminal 3, but incoming flights for airlines operating out of Terminal 1 are handled solely in Terminal 3.

In 2010, several low-cost carriers’ international flights operated out of Terminal 1-year-round including easyJet flights to London (Luton), Manchester, Geneva, and Basel and Vueling flights to Barcelona

In 2008 – 2009 period, Terminal 1 underwent to major renovations designed by Yosef Assa with three individual atmospheric themes. Firstly, the public halls have a Land-of-Israel character with walls painted in the colours of Israel’s Judean, Jerusalem and Galilee mountains. The Departure Hall is given an atmosphere of vacation and leisure, whilst the Arrivals Hall is given a more urban theme as passengers return back to the city.
